The mystery is now over when we will finally see WandaVision on Disney+ and it seems we will have to wait a little bit longer than we originally anticipated. Rumors had been swirling around that the first of the Marvel Disney+ shows was set to debut this year. But then the Covid-19 pandemic has lasted longer than expected and shifting schedules around as a result. Disney Executives were hopeful going into the last couple months of the year that this show would be premiering this year. That doesn’t seem to be the case as Disney just announced that WandaVision will actually debut next year. You can read the press release below.

While this news is not what everyone wanted to hear there must’ve been a reason for the date pushback. We will probably never know why but at least there is a date set in place. There should be more information about the future Disney+ programs this afternoon when Disney CEO Bob Chapek makes the Q4 earnings call.
WandaVision is a blend of classic television and the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff Elizabeth Olsen and Vision Paul Bettany—two super-powered beings living idealized suburban lives—begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems. The new series is directed by Matt Shakman; Jac Schaeffer is head writer.
