Wyatt Yang in Weekend in Taipei

Actor Wyatt Yang made his feature film acting debut with a bang in the action flick Weekend in Taipei.

The action-packed film features many hand-to-hand combat scenes and even a fast car chase through the streets of Taipei.

The film stars Luke Evans (Dracula Untold, Beauty and the Beast), Gwei Lun-mei (Girlfriend Boyfriend, Black Coal, Thin Ice), Sung Kang (The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, Bullet to the Head), and Yang.

George Huang (American Heiress, How to Make a Monster) directed the film from the screenplay written by Luc Besson and Huang.

Here is the official synopsis:

On a deep undercover assignment in Taipei, DEA agent John Lawlor (Luke Evans) was doing everything right…until he fell in love with his informant, beautiful Josephine “Joey” Kwang (Gwei Lun-mei), one of the Asian underworld’s best transport drivers. Compromised and cover blown, John was forced to flee. Now, years later, John is back in Taipei for the weekend. But is he here to finish the job? Or to win back Joey’s love?

Wyatt Yang made his acting feature film debut on Weekend in Taipei. In a video, Quarantween: the Musical, he appeared in 2021.

Weekend in Taipai is in theaters on Friday, November 8.
