A trailer for the new feature film, Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, has been released from The Roku Channel. The film stars Daniel Radcliffe as the famous witty singer. We all know a bunch of his parody songs like “My Bologna”, “Another One Rides the Bus”, and “I Love Rocky Road”. You can check it out below!
As you can see from the trailer for Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, Radcliffe has embraced the iconic hair, glasses, and mustache that Weird Al has been known for during his career. While we’ll see his rise as the parody genius that he came to be we will also see his struggles. In the trailer, we see the way his parents question his personality. Also, we’ll see him struggle with the usual things we see superstars deal with, drugs and alcohol.
Overall, it looks very well made and it seems that Radcliffe enjoyed his role as Weird Al. It’s a shame that we will not be able to experience this film in a theater. I think that a large format screen and sound system would do wonders for it. We also get to see Evan Rachel Wood as Madonna, Quinta Brunson as Oprah Winfrey, and Rainn Wilson as Dr. Demento.
