As someone who hasn’t indulged in the Hulu original series The Path, it’s been a good while since I’ve had my Aaron Paul fix. The dude made a big splash with Breaking Bad but all I’ve really seen from him in recent years is the Oscar-winning (not really) Need for Speed and the depressing, yet hilarious Bojack Horseman.
That’s about to change because Paul is joining another big TV show in the coming season. According to Deadline, Paul is signing on to HBO’s hit sci-fi series Westworld for its third season. Sadly, there are few details regarding his role, as it’s being kept a secret, but it is supposedly a regular one, so expect to see him a lot.
Given Paul’s tendency to skew towards the deep, dark, and serious roles, Westworld is a great addition to his filmography and will only further plant his flag in the world of premium television programming. Though if you’re hoping to see anything from this any time soon…you won’t. The second season of Westworld only finished airing a few months back in August, and if the previous break was any indication, I wouldn’t be surprised if we were looking at an early 2020 release.
