What to Expect For ‘Royal Crackers’ And It’s Second-Rate Cracker Company | Exclusive Cast Interview

Who would have thought that the next Adult Swim animated comedy series would come from a second-rate cracker company out of Bakersfield, California? Where is that you might ask? it’s somewhere you may have passed by if you’re going or coming from Los Angeles on the I-5/99. This is where ‘Royal Crackers’ takes place.

‘Royal Crackers’ is about a family that runs a cracker company that once was king of snacks. But after the family patriarch and tyrannical company founder Theodore Hornsby Sr. end up in what the series calls a “super coma”. Now the rest of the not-so-talented or business-savvy Hornsbys need to figure out a way to make Royal Crackers the success it once was.

It was created by Jason Ruiz, who also stars in the half-hour series along with Andrew Santino, Jessica St. Clair, and David Gboire.

“Like most kids, when I was a young child, I had the stereotypical dream of making an animated television program about a mediocre cracker company and the family of desperate weirdos who run it,” said Ruiz. “In this childhood dream, I wanted it to air on linear TV and then stream on an app the following day. Thank you to Adult Swim and HBO Max for making that little pipe dream come true.”
