Fans hoping for news of a Wheel of time Season 4 may be pleased as The Wheel of Time Season 2 viewing figures may be better than first thought. According to Neilson ratings, The Wheel of Time was the fifth most watched original streaming show across all the providers. Although the show does not even make the top 10 in most watched shows, most of those are older shows being binge watched. The originals is a better indication of how audiences are picking up new shows.
The latest Neilson Ratings are for the week in which Episode 6 of both Wheel of Time and Ahsoka dropped. It could be argued this was a high point for both shows, although both went on to have very different finales. Ahsoka‘s was poor and WoT was in my opinion very good.
The number one show everyone is watching is still Virgin River. I think we all know no one watching that show is probably reading LRM Online, different demographic. Second is Sex Education on Netflix, with Ahsoka in third on Disney +. Fourth was Murdaugh Murders: A Southern Scandal, also on Netflix. Given that Netflix has by far the biggest subscriber base, you can see fifth is pretty decent. In fact it was ahead of Only Murders in the Building, which is a very popular cross demographic show.

Episode 6 was the one where Egwene gets broken as a Damane. Therefore it was an emotional high point for the season. The episode was praised universally. Therefore, those who watched may come back for Episode 7 and 8? I guess we will find out when the next set of ratings hit? It’s also important to note that Episode 6 is the first time that Season 2 of Wheel of Time was more watched than the equivalent episode in Season 1.
Given that Season’s 1’s reception was enough to get Season 3 greenlit, it could be good news for Season 4. It also has to be pointed out that the marketing for Season 2 was ghastly and clearly designed to fall on the lack of the actors doing promotional which could not happen. Fingers crossed the final two episodes were also well watched.
Remember folks, this is domestic, so US numbers only and does include the rest of the global fanbase.
