According to some new Barside Buzz Wolverine is not a character in the current draft of Marvel’s X-Men Reboot movie. The information comes from Daniel RPK on his Patreon service. As we know, there is an X-Men Reboot movie in development. It’s never been officially announced, but too many good leakers say the same things and even some trades believe it’s happening.
Yet RPK says the most famous X-Men of all may not be included, right away. The leaker says the current draft Marvel are working with does not feature Logan. This is apparently because Hugh Jackman is currently still Wolverine and the plan is for him to stay on post-Secret Wars possibly.
I’ll admit I love Jackman and I liked him in Deadpool & Wolverine. But I also kinda wanted the whole team to have a fresh start. I mean eventually someone else will play Wolverine or else the character will be shelved in live-action. Given how popular Wolverine is, well, you know how Hollywood works. When Jackman can’t do it anymore, expect a recast. Till he’s 90, as Deadpool says, may not be that far off the truth.

Though two things to bear in mind here. RPK has a good hit rate for Marvel leaks, but this is still a rumor only. Additionally, this is not a final draft therefore plans could change before the movie goes into production.
I have no issue though with an X-Men movie not initially featuring Wolverine. It actually gives the rest of the team more time to grow on audiences. The casuals won’t need any introduction to Logan if it ends up being Jackman.
What do you think of this rumor that Wolverine is not a character in the current draft of Marvel’s X-Men Reboot movie? As always, leave us any thoughts below.
