Yesterday saw the big game go down, and 49ers fans around the country weep openly as the team fell short of game-winning performance. But, of course, for many of us film fans, it had less to do with the game and more to do with the various film and TV-related commercials that inevitably come with it. Of course, we’ve already posted info regarding James Bond, F9, Top Gun, Disney+, Black Widow, and Mulan, but we can’t forget the other superhero that was given some love.

I’m talking about Wonder Woman 1984. Admittedly, her involvement was brief, and she only popped up in one of the few Tide commercials. The commercials were serialized in nature, with Charlie Day getting sauce on his shirt, and freaking out about when he had to take action and wash his shirt. The answer was “later,” and the next batch of commercials involved him deciding when “later” actually was.

This apparently brought him to a scene in Wonder Woman 1984 when Day is in the same mall where stuff goes down in the upcoming film. Wonder Woman tells him he won’t be doing laundry today.

“Tomorrow. Tomorrow works,” he says before the commercial ends.

It’s not a lot of content, and I’m pretty confident almost all of it is stuff we’ve seen before, but it helps keep the film in the public’s mind, which is never a bad thing.
