Lin Shaye reprises her role as the psychic Elise Rainer in the prequel, “Insidious: Chapter 3.” This chapter is the origin story that sets before the Lambert family haunting. In this prequel, Rainer uses her ability to help a teenage girl who is targeted by a dangerous supernatural entity.

Angus Sampson and Leigh Whannell both return as Tucker and Specs respectively. New cast members include Dermot Mulroney, Stefanie Scott, Tate Berney and Hayley Kiyoko.

Focus Features will release the film nationwide on June 5.
