With the news of a Season 3 renewal fresh, Marvel TV boss Brad Winderbaum says X-Men 97′ could go to Season 4 & 5. Season 2 was dated as Summer, 2026 at NYCC this weekend, as a Season 3 renewal was also announced. However, speaking with Collider, Winderbaum says the chances of more seasons are strong.
‘Asked if X-Men ‘97 Season 3 was going to be the end, or if there was more to come?’
‘“There is definitely, more than possibly, more to come from X-Men ‘97. We’re talking about Seasons 4 and 5 now.” He promised, affirming to fans that the show will not end after Season 3.’
‘The panel confirmed that the long-awaited second season of X-Men ‘97 will air sometime next summer, and while it’s still unclear when Season 3 will be released, Winderbaum had some news for fans:’
“Season 3 is, I’ve almost seen animatics for the entire season, and it is incredible. I saw an episode the other day.”
Well, I guess we would not expect him to say it was awful and needed a lot of work, would we?

However, it does seem as though Marvel is very happy with how this animated revival is progressing. Season 1 was loved by most fans and I guess Season 2 will follow a similar line. However, with the removal of former showrunner Beau DeMayo who had already helped write Season 2, it could be that Season 3 isn’t as good? We will just have to hope it is I guess.
What do you think as Marvel TV boss Brad Winderbaum says X-Men 97′ could go to Season 4 & 5? Thoughts below as usual.
