Zack Snyder’s The Justice League Is Happening: Release The Snyder Cut Movement Has SUCCEEDED!

Jim lee Confirms No Plans For SnyderVerse Going Forward At DC

Zack Snyder’s The Justice League is happening. Release the Snyder Cut has won.

It’s happening. I’ll admit, I made fun of this movement at the very beginning. There was so much money to be put into it, there was no way it was actually going to happen. And yet, the Release the Snyder Cut fans never faltered. They wanted a Justice League film released that matched the true vision of director Zack Snyder. It started small, but over time, it gained tons of momentum.

Zack Snyder publicly backed the movement, as did many actors, including Ben Affleck and Jason Momoa. And Snyder has been sharing story details, concept art, and the like ever since Justice League hit theaters. So…how did the reveal happen?

As many of you know, Snyder hosted a Man of Steel screening on Vero. At the end, he invited Henry Cavill to answer fan questions. As things wound down, Cavill mentioned he would have loved for there to be a version where Superman didn’t “not not have a mustache.” But then the subject moved on for several minutes.

Snyder then lamented that he never got to see the League unite as he truly intended. He said he had the Snyder Cut, but it was just a matter of getting it out there. One of the fans on the Zoom chat then suggested that he just show it. Snyder then said he would have to fix it up first. It’s cut, but it’s not finished yet. He then gave a smirk, going on to say, “Well, I have this.”

He turned the camera to his at-home theater screen. On it was a logo that had the title Zack Snyder’s Justice League.

Below that was the date 2021 and the “Only on HBO Max” stamp plastered on it.

So…it’s happening, folks. The Snyder Cut of Justice League is real, and it’s happening. And it has a name: Zack Snyder’s Justice League. After I spent a solid year making fun of this movement, I have to eat crow. It worked. Fans succeeded.

And I have a feeling that this is only the beginning.

“I want to thank HBO Max and Warner Brothers for this brave gesture of supporting artists and allowing their true visions to be realized. Also a special thank you to all of those involved in the SnyderCut movement for making this a reality,” said Snyder in a statement.

“Since I got here 14 months ago, the chant to #ReleaseTheSnyderCut has been a daily drumbeat in our offices and inboxes. Well, the fans have asked, and we are thrilled to finally deliver. At the end of the day, it really is all about them and we are beyond excited to be able to release Zack’s ultimate vision for this film in 2021. This could never have happened if it weren’t for the hard work and combined efforts of the teams at HBO Max and Warner Bros. Pictures,” said Robert Greenblatt, Chairman, Warner Media Entertainment and Direct-To-Consumer.

“When Zack and Debbie shared the extraordinary vision of where Zack wanted to take Justice League, my team and our counterparts at Warner Bros. took it as a mission to solve the many issues that stood in the way,” said Kevin Reilly, Chief Content Officer at HBO Max, President, TNT, TBS and truTV. “Thanks to the partnership at Warner Bros. and the relentless pursuit of the entire WarnerMax team we are able to deliver this incredibly exciting moment for Zack, the fans and HBO Max.”

“Thanks to the efforts of a lot people, we’re excited to bring fans this highly anticipated version of Justice League,” said Toby Emmerich, Chairman, Warner Bros. Pictures Group. “This feels like the right time to share Zack’s story, and HBO Max is the perfect platform for it. We’re glad the creative planets aligned, allowing us to #ReleaseTheSnyderCut.”
