Those of you that clicked here hoping for some epic, dinosaur carnage I’m sorry to let you down. I’ve gotten my hands on a pair of concept images for the fourth Jurassic Park movie, entitled Jurassic World but, sadly, they only show off the locale. The pictures are seemingly of the new death trap that will be found in the movie, where several characters will meet their untimely demise thanks to some regenerated dinos. Where as the central location in the first film was designed as an amusement park/zoo, it looks like the premise this time around will center around a place that’s meant to be more of a resort.
Here are the pictures, from Colin Trevorrow’s flick:
Jurassic World is set to star Chris Pratt, who is going to have quite a busy schedule these next few years. Not only is he the lead here, but he also stars in Marvel’s Guardians of The Galaxy, and his role within that Universe is said to also include appearances in other Avengers-related films.
Steven Spielberg, who directed the first Jurassic film, is on as a producer on this one. It’s been said that he was very taken with Trevorrow’s pitch, which is what finally got the ball rolling on a fourth film. The last one, Jurassic Park III, came out way back in 2001 and was considered a low-point. With Jurassic World, they’re hoping to reboot-within-a-sequel to rectify the course of the franchise.
Jurassic World will storm its way into theaters on June 12, 2015.
