The best way to cross the border into the United States is in the trunk of a car of a coyote. Not quite.

The comedy drama “Sun Belt Express” follows an American college professor in Mexico who is trying to smuggle illegals across the border. It stars Tate Donovan, India Ennenga, Ana de la Reguera, Miguel Sandoval and Rachael Harris.

Here’s the synopsis:

Set in the Sonoran Desert, just south of Tucson, Arizona, Sun Belt Express follows Allen King (Donovan), a down-on-his-luck professor who agrees to earn some extra cash by smuggling undocumented immigrants across the border. When his curious teenage daughter Emily (Ennenga) sneaks into the trunk of his car to discover what he’s been up to, Allen finds himself on an unhinged run across the Mexican border with his daughter in tow, a former girlfriend (de la Reguera) and three undocumented immigrants in the trunk. What follows is a family road trip full of surprises and revelations that will change their lives forever.
