2014’s NEIGHBORS was a bit of a surprise for most people.
Up until that point, many still had a hard time separating Zac Efron from his HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL personality, so seeing him in a comedic role really did a lot to expand the mainstream audience’s perception of him.
With the success the film had, a sequel was inevitable. Joining Efron, Rogen, and Byrne this time around is Chloë Grace Moretz, who has long since made her mark on Hollywood with films like KICK-ASS, LET ME IN, and HUGO.
We’ve had a couple trailers so far, and from what we’ve seen, this film is really quite the rehash of the first film. However, this doesn’t necessarily have to be a bad thing, as it’s a vehicle for some pretty funny jokes.
Check out the new red band trailer below!
“Life is good for Mac Radner (Seth Rogen) and pregnant wife Kelly (Rose Byrne), until the unruly sisters of Kappa Nu move in next door. As loud parties continuously disrupt the peace, the couple turn to former neighbor and onetime enemy Teddy Sanders (Zac Efron) for help. Now united with the fraternity stud, the trio devises schemes to get the wild sorority off the block. Unfortunately, the rebellious young women refuse to go down without a fight.”
