DC and Warner Bros. had a chance to make a huge splash at Comic Con last year. Obviously with very little to show, they weren't able to make as big of a splash as they could have. Now it's a year later, and if everything goes as expected, they'll be making quite the splash indeed.
With the next film in their DC Cinematic Universe, "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice," they're really going to have to wow audiences and convince them that they can compete on the same level as Marvel. A while back, they released a teaser trailer, but it seemed only to scratch the surface of what's in store for us. The big question, of course, has been whether or not we'll get an actual trailer for this film during San Diego Comic Con this year, even though the film's still a good nine months away.
Well, if Alberta Film Ratings is to be believed, then yes, we sure can. On the site is a list of movie trailers and their release date, and there on the page it shows "Batman V Superman" on 7/10/15, which is today. It also shows the runtime of 2 minutes, 24 seconds. If this holds true, then we can expect the video to come up very, very soon--though it's unclear if that means a trailer will pop up online prior to the Warner Bros. Hall H panel tomorrow at 10:30am PST. We've also heard some rumblings about it potentially showing up on CONAN--and hopefully it'll be different from this piece of work he already released. But we'll have to wait and see how this all turns out.
The official synopsis for "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" is as follows:
Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.
"Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" hits theaters on March 25, 2016.
