THR is reporting that the NWA biopic Straight Outta Compton has found it’s Dr. Dre and Eazy-E. We all ready knew that O’Shea Jackson Jr. was expected to play his father (Ice Cube) in the film, but now we can add two other names and faces into the mix.
Marcus Callender will play Dre, and Jason Mitchell is said to have landed the role of Eazy-E with an off-the-charts audition.
The film has been in development for quite some time, and it got lost in the shuffle until Jonathan Herman did a major script overhaul in 2013 which breathed new life into the project.
