I have to say, that I completely forgot John Favreau had signed on to head a new Star Wars TV Series. The live action series will air on Disney’s new streaming service and Favreau will take on writing duties whilst serving as executive producer.

Since the initial announcement we have heard nothing, but Dan Casey at Nerdist took to Twitter to reveal that John Favreau has confirmed the timeline for the new show.

Well there you have it, the Star Wars TV Series will be set around 7 years after the end of Return of the Jedi. It’s quite possible therefore to have characters come across some of the more famous saga heroes. However, this would be highly unlikely given the ages of the actors playing those parts. They could show a youthful Ben Solo we suppose, but that would be tricky without having Han Solo, Leia or Luke around as well. Hmm…There is that Alden Ehrenreich chap though isn’t there, and a certain Mr Glover?
Favreau himself chimed in to say
“If you told me at 11 years old that I would be getting to tell stories in the Star Wars universe, I wouldn’t have believed you. I can’t wait to embark upon this exciting adventure.”
It’ll be interesting to see what form this series takes with its storytelling, we literally have no idea where they are coming at this from yet. Favreau was one of the original architects of the MCU and Iron Man is still considered one of the best of the MCU films. Let’s hope he can bring something original and exciting to our TV screens. Help me John Favreau, you’re our only hope!
