Yesterday, Chris Evans released a sad tweet. After eight amazing years, he would be hanging up his shield for good and say adios to Captain America. But don’t think for one second that’s the last you’ll be seeing of him. Not at all. The sky’s the limit for the former superhero two-time superhero actor, and for starters, he’s jumping on Star Wars: The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson’s upcoming film, Knives Out.
According to a report from Deadline, Evans will be joining actor Daniel Craig in this film, which is being described as a murder mystery film. This is pretty exciting for Johnson fans, as the filmmaker got his start making mystery films like Brick.

From what we understand, they’ll begin production this coming November — ahead of what was supposed to be the December shoot for Bond 25. So they’ll be getting into it very soon, if all goes according to plan.
As a fan of Rian Johnson, the prospect of seeing him return to the mystery genre with actors like Craig and Evans is fantastic to me. Given that Johnson will be heading back to the world of Star Wars with his next movie, this gives him a chance to really recharge his creative batteries and really hit the ground running at Lucasfilm.
