Avengers 4: Did We See The Souls Of The Dead In Ant-Man And The Wasp Post-Credits Scene?

While the Marvel Cinematic Universe isn’t perfect when it comes to overall continuity, there is a definite amount of love and care that’s put into its overall world-building and storytelling. It’s always fun to look back and see how certain films overlap and cross over, and that’s only gotten more fun as time as gone and they’ve become more intertwined. Such is the case with Avengers: Infinity War and Ant-Man and the Wasp.

These two films already have a pretty solid connection thanks to the latter’s post-credits scene, which showed Ant-Man getting trapped in the Quantum Realm after his tech support all disintegrated following Thanos’ snap. This is a very obvious connection, but one Redditor noticed another fine detail.

In the Quantum Realm, it mostly looks like traditional space. However, after capturing the energy in the capsule, we start to see some orange floating orbs materialize around him. A few seconds after, his backup goes radio silent. The Redditor seems to think that because of the timing after the snap and the arrival of those orange orbs — and the orange is the color of the Soul Stone — that the Redditor thinks those orange orbs are actually souls.

Does this mean that the Quantum Realm actually contains some version of the afterlife? What this could mean for the future of the the MCU or, more specifically, Avengers 4? Only time will tell on that front. It could be a big coincidence or just another seed Marvel Studios has planted for future harvest. If you need any other pieces of evidence, someone even edited a video that showed events from Avengers 4 alongside Ant-Man and the Wasp.
