For months, we’ve been teased by Tenet. We knew that Christopher Nolan was doing something unique with it, but we didn’t know what the hell it was. In all honesty, all we had to go off of were some choice words from actor Robert Pattinson, as well as a mysterious teaser that only a select few saw. Add in the palindromic nature of the title, and you have a bit of a mystery well worth cracking. Well, crack no more. The trailer is here.

This morning, Warner Bros. dropped the first trailer for Christopher Nolan’s latest opus, and as one would expect from the filmmaker, it looks to be another mind-bending thriller, the likes of which we may not have seen before. Check out the trailer down below!

As the title implies, this movie does appear to deal with time and the mirror image of events taking place and then reversing. Our first hint of this is seeing the boats traveling backwards in the water, and it all sort of culminates in seeing a car crash and the fall back into place. But how does this “afterlife” and our leads actually play into this whole thing? What does it have to do with preventing World War III?
