Star Wars At D23: Ahsoka Season 2 Trailer and Description Of Starfighter Trailer

The two biggest Star Wars items to drop at D23 were a trailer for Ahsoka Season 2, which is public and one for Starfighter which was not.

The two biggest Star Wars items to drop at D23 were a trailer for Ahsoka Season 2, which is public and one for Starfighter which was not. I have seen the Starfighter trailer though folks, so I can describe it in all its underwhelming glory. However, let us begin with the one you can see. Check out the trailer below for Ahsoka Season 2 hitting Disney+ on January 20, 2027.

It’s hard to have much to say on this. it looks decent enough as a trailer. Then again, so did Season 1 and I found the series rather a disappointment. I hope Season 2 is better and I will be reviewing the Season once it’s all out. Still, the trailer was interesting even if it seems to just follow on from where Season 1 left off.

Everyone is back for Season 2, though of course we do have a recast of Baylon Skoll due to the unexpected sudden passing of Ray Stevenson. We do not get to see much of new actor Rory McCann in this trailer, which is perhaps for the best right now.

Finally, as I said we did not get the first teaser for Starfighter made public and it was only shown to attendees. Of course it did not take long for potato quality versions to hit the internet and there is at least one version still available as I type this article. In other words, if you try hard, you’ll find it.

Honestly, I can see why they did not make this public as it was in my opinion a very poor teaser. A teaser’s job is normally to get you excited for something down the line. Just a taste, but enough to give some hype.

Either Star Wars has just lost that magic, or this was a poor teaser, because I felt no excitement after seeing it.

Description

We begin with Flynn Gray’s character pulling a tarp of what looks more like a speeder, but it’s a starship. He is interrupted by Gosling’s character (rumored to be called Kayde), who tells him not to touch it.

Asking what it is Gosling explains that it is a decommissioned Imperial craft and the fastest starfighter in the Galaxy. The kid asks why he’s never heard of it before and Gosling implies there’s a good reason.

We see a small montage which really just shows us some shots of Gosling and spacecraft. Then the new title screen as shown in the header above.

It almost seems like it’s not worth a teaser at this point if that’s all it’s going to be. We know there are rough cuts of the film already because Marvel boss Kevin Feige said he saw one and it’s great. This could be a great film, but we get no sense of what kind of film this will be from the teaser. In other words, don’t feel you need to see it in bad quality because there’s little much worth seeing.

There you have it folks, as always, leave any comments in the usual spot below.
