Kevin Hart may have had a difficult past several months following his unexpected accident, but it looks like he’s ready to hop back on board the action-comedy train already. The stand-up comic made the successful transition to film some years ago and has since managed to make a name for himself in action comedies like Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and Central Intelligence.

Now, he and Jason Statham are in talks to team up for an action-comedy called The Man From Toronto for Sony. The film will be helmed by The Hitman’s Bodyguard director Patrick Hughes, whose Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson-starring film did well enough to warrant a sequel.

The film is set to hit theaters on November 20 of this year, and they are looking to get it in front of cameras in March. Yup, that’s one hell of a turnaround for anyone, but if they lock down Hart and Statham, I’m sure the rest of it will fall into place.

The film is written by Robbie Fox from a story by him and Jason Blumenthal.

“The story uses a case of a mistaken identity as its jumping off point after the world’s deadliest assassin, known as the Man from Toronto, and a New York City screw-up run into each other at an Airbnb. A clash of personalities, and a clash with deadly killers, ensues.”
