Gretel & Hansel Clip & Featurette: Don’t Follow The Creepy Child

The world is a cold and terrible place. That seems to be the case in the classic Brothers Grimm fairy tales, and that holds true in the upcoming horror film Gretel & Hansel. It looks to be taking the old story and somehow making it that much more eerie and twisted than it was in its original form.

The studio has now dropped a couple of videos for us to take in. First is a clip from the film, which follows Gretel as she attempts to sleep. But when a creepy girl in a pointy hat pokes her head around the corner, Gretel gets the terrible idea to follow.

The next video to hit is a featurette. In it, we get to hear a bit about what the director is attempting to do with the film. We also get to see them talk about star Sophia Lillis, who is coming off of IT: Chapter Two.

Below is the official synopsis for Gretel & Hansel:

“A long time ago in a distant fairytale countryside, a young girl (Sophia Lillis, IT Chapter 2) leads her little brother (Sammy Leakey) into a dark wood in desperate search of food and work, only to stumble upon a nexus of terrifying evil.”
