Rumor: Marvel’s Loki is To Feature The Minutemen

Loki is to feature the Minutemen

Today we have a rumor that Marvel’s Loki is to feature the Minutemen. Loki, like many other productions, is delayed due to Coronavirus. However, the rumor mill is still churning out stories. Read on for more details…

We have known for some time that Loki is going to be getting into time travel and/or the Multiverse. Fans already know that Loki will feature the first appearance of the Time Variance Authority. Today’s rumor says that the Minutemen are also going to show up. The Minutemen are essentially the time police that works for or with the TVA in the comics. This rumor comes from Murphy’s Multiverse who says these Minutemen will act as the ‘red shirts’ of the TVA. Murphy also says that one of the Minutemen will be played by Marvel Studios stunt guru Chris Brewster. Isabelle Fretheim is also playing one of the Minutemen in Loki.

The Minutemen in the comics were a collection of robots and cyborgs who do the dirty work of the TVA. Whatever the TVA’s interest is in Loki, I’ll guess they need his help? There is no way Loki is not the protagonist in his own TV show, meaning his will be the most important character arc. Remember fans, this version of Loki never experienced any of the events in the MCU post-Avengers, so he’s still pretty bad. I think Loki will develop into more of anti-hero role as his show progresses. To begin with he’ll be evil Asgardian God and by the end, he will be saving the world or the Multiverse.

We know that Loki will also feature Owen Wilson, though in what role we don’t yet know. Loki will also feature Richard E. Grant and I predict he might be an older version of Loki. I also strongly suspect that Sophia Di Martino is playing a female version of the God of Mischief.

I have to say, Loki is sounding like really good fun so far. So much so, that tomorrow I am going to be writing up my weekly ‘What This Fan Wants From…’ column and this week is definitely Loki. I can’t say that there are any of the Marvel shows coming to Disney+ that I’m not excited about at this point. I guess I just wish this had all happened a year ago so we had this content for the current Coronavirus isolation.
