The Tax Collector is the latest film directed by David Ayer. Ayer is known with writing credits for The Fast and The Furious and Training Day. His gritty directing style for violence was notable in films such as End of Watch, Sabotage, and Fury.
In his latest film, it stars up-and-coming Bobby Soto with veteran thespian Shia LaBeouf as two “tax collectors” of gang profits until a new crime lord enters the picture to upend the business.

Synopsis:
David (Bobby Soto) and Creeper (Shia LaBeouf), are “tax collectors” for the crime lord Wizard, collecting his cut from the profits of local gangs’ illicit dealings. But when Wizard’s old rival returns to Los Angeles from Mexico, the business is upended, and David finds himself desperate to protect what matters more to him than anything else—his family.
