Daredevil and Coulson for Secret Invasion? That’s what the rumor we are sharing today is about. The folks over at FandomWire have released two scoops. One saying the Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock will appear in Secret Invasion. This is in addition to the fact Cox has been heavily rumored to appear, even if briefly in Spider-Man 3. The second story claims that both Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg), and fellow AOS star Quake (Chloe Bennet) are also set to appear in Secret Invasion.

Now, I am just going to be honest and say I don’t have a feel for how accurate FandomWire is yet. In other words, it may take time to see if they have a solid hit rate. What I will say is that GiantFreakinRobot also said that there was talks for Clark Gregg and Chloe Bennett to come back. There are also serious rumors that Cox has already filmed scenes for Spider-Man 3 and that his character Murdock would be rebooted for the MCU.

My view is that when enough rumors all appear and start saying the same thing, well, there’s no smoke without fire they say. That being said, I’m not quite there in the Coulson and Quake part of this story yet. I think Marvel would be crazy not to use Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio going forward. However, Agents of SHIELD really doesn’t feel like part of the MCU any longer. It did for a few seasons but then time travel shenanigans began and most fans just accept the head canon that the show went off into it’s own reality from here.

Also when it comes to Coulson, that pretty much means he is dead in multiple different realities. The character died and was brought back as a robot towards the end of the show. However, that was after his initial resurrection after the events of Avengers when he first got killed by Loki. I therefore don’t quite see the logic in why Coulson and Quake (Daisy) would show up in Secret Invasion. No one else knows Quake in the MCU, and Coulson is still thought dead by the OG Avengers.
