Universal Orlando Resort tweeted that they are serving hot butterbeer for us all year now. They used to sell it during the Holidays, but now, the magical drink can be enjoyed anytime you visit Universal’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I haven’t had the opportunity to enjoy hot butterbeer, but I have gotten the chance to enjoy it cold and enjoy pumpkin juice as well. I’ve even made both at home since my last visit has been a while.

There’s More Than Just Cold and Hot Butterbeer
To start with, butterbeer is like cream soda with shortbread and butterscotch flavors with thick whipped cream on top. Hot butterbeer is similar to hot chocolate, but with butterscotch flavor and foam on top. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter also has frozen butterbeer, butterbeer ice cream, fudge, and potted cream. Frozen butterbeer is like a slushy and potted cream is a thick cream with a salty, buttery sauce on top and a little whipped cream. The fudge has a layer that has the butterbeer flavor and another layer that tastes like white chocolate. Finally, the ice cream has butterscotch and toasted marshmallow flavor served on a waffle cone.

Honestly, I would love to try hot butterbeer. I hope they will make a few vegan options. Dairy gives me migraines and, of course, for those who are vegan or lactose intolerant. Universal Orlando Resort has ended outdoor mask requirements, which will be more comfortable for guests this summer. Also, all 3 parks are now open.
