According to the latest Barside Buzz from Lucasfilm insider Jordan Maison, The Book of Boba Fett is nine episodes long. As of now, we know when The Book of Boba Fett begins on December 29th. However we do not know officially how many episodes the series contains. Most Star Wars fans may have assumed eight, considering that’s the length of both seasons of The Mandalorian. However, with streaming titles there is no need to make a show hit a certain number of episodes. The rumors are that Andor will have a twelve episode season 1.
Check out what Jordan posted on social media below.
For what it's worth, I heard (from the same people who told me about the trailer today) that #TheBookofBobaFett is 9 episodes.

Maison, along with a few others were right about the trailer hitting yesterday, so I think we have to take this claim very seriously. Honestly, I have trust in Maison’s sources, so I think there is a strong chance this is correct. If this is correct then we can guess at a finale date of February 23rd. However that is also making a big assumption that we will only get one episode per week. As we have seen in the past from Disney+, that might not always be the case.

However armed with his information and to the best of our current knowledge, February 23rd is the best guess anyone can make outside of Lucasfilm as to when the Boba Fett finale will air.
Yesterday saw the release of the first teaser trailer for The Book of Boba Fett and I loved it. so far, I’ve heard of fans who loved it like me and some that thought it was a little safe. Given how secretive both season of The Mandalorian were, I’d say this is enough. My guess is that most of the footage shown in trailer is from the first couple of episodes at most. The trailer for Season 2 of The Mandalorian had nothing past episode 4. Think about everything that happened during those last four episodes. Ahsoka, Boba Fett, Fennec, Gideon, Dark Troopers, and of course Luke Skywalker.
I don’t like spoilery trailers, I so far I am happy with what I’ve seen of The Book of Boba Fett. What do you think of the rumor The Book of Boba Fett is nine episodes long? As always, leave any thoughts below on today’s Barside Buzz.
