Finally! Made for Love Season 2 is resuming production. They had to shut down filming due to positive Covid-19 test results, including those in Zone A. Honestly, I’ve been keeping tabs on this show for a while now hoping to find some news on the series. I watched this series when it came out in April 2021 and freaking loved it! I can’t wait to see season 2.
Adapted from the novel of the same name by Alissa Nutting, this HBO Max Original is a dark comedy that is shocking and hilarious. This series is so out there, I couldn’t wait to see what would happen next. If you haven’t gotten the chance to watch it yet, I highly recommend it so bump it up on your watch list.
Synopsis
Made for Love is a darkly absurd and cynically poignant story of love and divorce. It follows Hazel Green (Cristin Milioti), a thirty-something woman on the run after 10 years in a suffocating marriage to Byron Gogol (Billy Magnussen), a controlling tech billionaire. Soon she discovers that her husband has implanted a monitoring device – the Made for Love chip – in her brain, allowing him to track her, watch her, and know her “emotional data” as she tries to regain her independence. Through the chip, Byron’s able to watch Hazel’s every move as she flees to her desert hometown to take refuge with her aging widower father Herbert (Ray Romano) and his synthetic partner, Diane.

It’s weird that a show’s healthiest relationship is between a man and a… synthetic partner. I hope there’s no more snags for this series so maybe season 2 can be released in 2023.
