Hugh Jackman returns as Wolverine in Deadpool 3. The announcement was made late Tuesday on social media by Ryan Reynolds. I’d normally let you watch for yourself and not spoil the video. However I am late getting this one published and likely you’ve already heard by now. Check it out.

I also love the logo for the movie which you can see in the header above. So what do we think of this idea? Is Jackman going to be the MCU’s Wolverine? That’s highly unlikely, I think this one last hurrah makes sense given we are currently in the Multiverse Saga. I’m sure at some point Marvel will have their own new team of X-Men and you can bet Jackman is far too old to pulling that off.
However given the connection between the two characters, and the two actors, who are friends that like to pretend to be enemies, I think this is a pretty genius move. We get to see Jackman one last time, probably in a different way than we have before. Pus the chemistry between Reynolds and Jackman is sure to be a treat.

Not every fan will be on board. I am one of those who would normally wish to separate the FoXverse from the MCU. Yet, as long as this is the Multiverse angle, I’m okay with this in a movie which will be batsh** crazy anyway.
Full disclosure, I’m not that into comedies and as such I don’t think much of either Deadpool movie. However having Jackman involved has made me sit up and take notice. I’m slightly more intrigued by this threequel than I was 2 days ago. My own opinion aside, Deadpool 1 and 2 were extremely popular, The Deadpool fans should be happy as the same writing team is on board for Deadpool 3.
