The Barside Buzz has not been buzzing lately, but today we have the supposed latest X-Men pitch roster and some Fantastic Four side villains to discuss. As with all rumors, we only share those leakers with the highest hit rates. However, take all rumors with a pinch of salt, especially this far out. Specifically, at the stage things are at with the MCU’s X-Men movie. Literally everything could change still with this film before it goes under cameras.
The X-Men reboot is under development though and the latest writer to take a shot is Michael Lesslie. Well, according to leaker Daniel RPK, on his subscriber service, Lesslie’s pitch is for the X-Men to feature the same roster as currently appearing in X-Men 97′. If unaware, that means Cyclops, Jean, Logan, Jubilee, Gambit (kinda), Rogue, Beast, Morph and Storm. Though we could also potentially throw in Sunspot with the current roster of that series.
Taking some very popular characters, but different slightly to the FoX movies, makes sense. If true, I do find this a smart approach with plenty of diverse character potential. However, it is very early days to count on anything with this one.

Another potential scoop from RPK is around The Fantastic Four. This one is ready to film later this year. The leaker claims that the opening of the movie will feature quite a few side villains. Recognisable villains of the Fantastic Four from the comics. With this set to happen before facing the true threat of the movie, which appears to be Galactus and his Herald, Silver Surfer. Though in this Universe, Surfer is Shalla-Bal (Julia Garner) and not her lover Norrin Radd.
These side villains could account for some of the recent casting additions to the movie that we have no character details for. Is it possible the start of the movie is a montage of the Four dealing with villains on Earth, before they jet off into the cosmos to confront Galactus? Previous leaks have said the majority of the movie is set in space.
