Today Hulu announced the US premiere date for the Fleering Lies series, in Spain known as Mentiras Pasajeras.  With the Oscar winner, Pedro Almodóvar as the producer of this new Spanish drama with its touch of humor. 

The Synopsis

One month before her wedding and the day of her supposed big promotion, Lucía (Elena Anaya, “The Skin I Live In”)is accused of corporate espionage and fired from her job. Suddenly, Lucía’s life and future take a drastic turn for the worst, as she ponders how to tell her fiancé, Basilio (Hugo Silva, “The Body”), that she has lost her career and even worse, the salary that supports the family. Concurrently, Basilio, an aspiring writer, has to face the fact that he has little to fill the blank pages of his book. Unwilling to accept failure, Lucía and Basilio get themselves into a comical web of lies that will put their relationship at stake.

The cast includes Elena Anaya, Pilar Castro, Hugo Silva, Quim Gutiérrez and Susi Sanchez
