Emotional grief is one of the hardest displays on screen for any actor. The emotions range from sadness, shock, guilt, and anger—which Christopher Backus profoundly performed in the supernatural drama Daft State.
The film also starred Skye P. Marshall (Matlock, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Ka’ramuu Kush (Five Deep Breaths, The Number 23), Paulo Costanzo (40 Days and 40 Nights, Road Trip), Jake T. Austin (Wizards of Waverly Place, The Fosters), and Iman Karram (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, All American). Chad Bishoff directed the film based on the screenplay by Sam Harter and Bishoff.
Here is the official synopsis:
Easton’s mysterious psychological destruction drives him to the edge of sanity and possible self-harm by those who love him most…his wife and daughter. Will Easton succumb to their increasingly traumatizing pressure, or will he conquer the dark forces at play?
