The Ahsoka Season 2 directors have been revealed as the shoot for the sophomore season nears a wrap. The information here is from IMDb folks. Now, as you know, that’s not always an accurate source. However, I’m pretty confident the information below, is legit.
No director is listed for either Episode 1 or Episode 8 currently. The general consensus in the industry, is that Dave Filoni will direct both of those. (He did for Season 1)
Episodes 2 and 3 are directed by Jennifer Getzinger, whereas 4 and 5 are directed by a familiar name in Bryce Dallas Howard. Episodes 6 and 7 will be directed by Anders Engstrom. Ergo, that of course leaves 1 and 8 for Filoni himself.
Additionally we are now roughly in the 7th month of a reported 7 month shoot for Ahsoka. Many of the supporting cast have already wrapped filming according to sources, but the main cast still have potentially a few weeks left of shooting.
It will be 2026 before we see Ahsoka as it will go into post-production, which as you know can take longer than principal these days.

Regular readers probably know I’m a huge Star Wars nerd. Though, one that hasn’t really clicked with much Disney has made outside of the first two seasons of The Mandalorian and the phenomenal Andor.
My biggest criticism of Ahsoka, despite a good start, was it felt too immature and cartoon like. To the point where I wonder whether an animated series would have just cost less money and been as successful. You can find my review of the finale and season grade Here. I of course, hope that Season 2 is a massive improvement.
What do you think of the directors for Ahsoka Season 2? Are you looking forward to Season 2, or not? Let us know below.
