According to some new Barside Buzz Aaron Pierre (Lanterns) is playing a Jedi Knight in Shawn Levy’s Star Wars: Starfighter. Before we get to this new claim, let’s point out this is not a brand new rumor as such. Back during filming there were reports that Mia Goth’s character would fight a Jedi Knight at one point in the film. Yet we know this is not Ryan Gosling’s character Kayde nor his nephew.

We of course had a rumor that Aaron Pierre appeared in the film, but then the leaker formerly known as MSW came out and said Pierre was playing a Jedi.

Now FivesWalker, who does have affiliation with MSW as far as I am aware, also makes the claim. Check it out.

Now, as far as we know Pierre’s does not have a starring role in the film at all. If he is playing a Jedi and it’s this Jedi who fights Mia Goth’s character, then I would guess it’s an appearance at the end of the film.

For a big star like Pierre to be playing a Jedi in this Universe, it would indicate they have plans from him beyond Starfighter. IF this is true which as yet is to be determined definitively. Is it possible that Aaron Pierre has already been cast as one of the leads of Simon Kinberg’s Star Wars: Episode X? That’s really getting speculative, but I would not rule it out.
