New Barside Buzz seems to confirm a rumor that Eva Mendes will have a small cameo role in Star Wars: Starfighter. Mendes is of course married to the movie’s star Ryan Gosling, so getting her for a small role is doable and it was first revealed months and months ago, but old Star Wars leaker MSW. However, we now have the same report coming independently from Knight Edge Media‘s Caleb Williams.
‘Today, we at Knight Edge Media can exclusively confirm that actress Eva Mendes will appear in Star Wars: Starfighter alongside her real-life husband Ryan Gosling. The rumor that she was seen on set has circulated online for over a year, since production was ongoing in the summer of 2025 (via Star Wars News Net). She is expected to have just a minor role in the film as an intergalactic cantina owner.’
Far as I recall from that early leak from MSW, they claimed Mendes was playing a bar owner, or patron and the character’s visit this bar in the film. I guess it was likely the owner given Williams’ claim above.

Look, it’s not much of a story and I honestly held it back yesterday hoping there’d be some new rumors to add on top today. Alas, it’s a slow news day, so I’m publishing it on it’s own. Williams has been extremely reliable recently and is fast becoming one of the most accurate leakers around. Ergo, I see this double confirmation from two independent sources as making it pretty much nailed on. That being said, all we know is she filmed this scene, it could potentially get lost in the final edit, so we shall see?
Is this a cool cameo, or are you honestly not bothered either way as long as it’s a good film? Give me your thoughts below, I’ll let you guess where I stand.
