David Goyer Says The Green Lantern Corps. Film Isn’t Dead Yet

Potentially good news, DC fans! Or, bad news, depending on how you feel about another Green Lantern movie and David Goyer.

Goyer, the writer behind such superhero hits as Batman Begins and Blade II, and comic book disappointments such as Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance and Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice, recently told IGN that DC’s Green Lantern Corps. film is still “in the works.”

Though there is a shakeup afoot in the DC Extended Universe following the disappointing returns of last year’s Justice League, Goyer doesn’t think the project is dead yet, but he also sounds a little unsure about when we will hear an update about the film:

“I don’t know. Who knows, especially with what’s currently going on with the DC universe? There’s obviously a whole recalibration happening with that right now.”

Goyer is officially writing the project, and there was a rumor this summer that he was also being eyed to direct the film described as “Lethal Weapon in space,” which is said to feature both Hal Jordan and John Stewart.
