It’s hard to believe, but it now seems like the long-awaited Bill and Ted 3 may actually happen. Some months ago, actor Keanu Reeves discussed the basic idea behind the film, but even then, I never really imagined that this would happen.

Now, in a recent interview with writer Ed Solomon, it sounds like it hitting the big screen is a very real possibility. But what will the film be about? Speaking with Digital Spy, Solomon gave a basic idea of what fans can expect from this threequel.
“They return to that scene at the Circle K when Bill and Ted first meet themselves, only now they’re watching their younger selves and looking at the exuberance and joy that they had at that time in their lives. And they see Rufus, they see George Carlin…There’s also a character in the movie named Kelly, which is George’s daughter’s name, who has a very significant role in the journey, so George is a deep, deep part of it.”
This falls in line with statements from Reeves in the past, where he mentioned they’d be taking a hard look at what they wanted from their lives when they were younger, and how their lives actually turned out. As I stated back then, that basic idea sounds incredibly interesting, and it’s not the angle I would have expected from a franchise like this.
