While audiences may have been the big winners in this past Super Bowl weekend, it’s still interesting to see which of the many trailers that dropped produced the most overall buzz on the web. After all, this could very well be indicative of overall interest, and ultimately overall cash potential for the films when they eventually hit theaters.
So what films made the most social impact? According to comScore (via Deadline), it was Avengers: Infinity War and Solo: A Star Wars Story that generated the most buzz. Their PreAct data revealed that Avengers: Infinity War generated 161,000 conversations on social media, and Solo: A Star Wars Story generated 109,000.

It’s understandable that both created the amount of buzz they did. For starters, Avengers: Infinity War is the culmination of 10 years of filmmaking — an unprecedented step in the medium — and as such, audiences will obviously be looking forward to that. Solo: A Star Wars story is a slightly different beast. It’s coming off a very divisive film with Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and it’s a film that’s had a very rocky (and very public) trouble during production. Add in the fact that it chronicles the origins of one of film’s greatest characters, and you have a recipe for buzz — be it positive or negative.
However, there’s also one other measurement that’s worth pointing out — overall views. Between YouTube and Facebook, the big winners here were Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom with 3.56 million views, and Mission: Impossible – Fallout, with 2.09 million views.
