Surprise! Black Panther is breaking new ground by having not one, but TWO post-credits scenes.
Okay, maybe it’s not breaking new ground. By now, at least two scenes is pretty much par for the course at this point (and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 raised the bar by having a whopping FIVE post-credits scenes). But, I’m happy to confirm that there are two scenes — one after the flashier credits that follow the immediate ending of the movie, and one more at the very end.
But what are these scenes?

Okay, now’s time to look away if you don’t want to be spoiled, because at least one of them will have some mild spoilery goodness.

The scene shows T’Challa standing behind a lectern at some UN-type meeting. He reveals that, for the first time in the country’s history, Wakanda will share their resources with the rest of the world. One other representative then asks, “with all due respect,” what does Wakanda have to offer the rest of the world? T’Challa gives a knowing smile, and we cut to black (Oh, they don’t even know!).
The second scene gives us a peek at Bucky Barnes, who we last saw getting put on ice in Captain America: Civil War. Yeah, in case you’re reading this before you see the film, there’s no Bucky in this movie otherwise. The filmmakers were more than content to deal with the Wakandans without throwing another metal-armed wrench into the machine. In the scene, we see him emerge from a Wakandan hut. Once outside, he meets with T’Challa’s sister Shuri, and they walk off-screen, probably to help in his brainwashing, training, or new metal-arming deal. It’s not clear.
What is worth noting is his new name, White Wolf. White Wolf is the name of a character in the Marvel canon. In the comics, his parents die in a plane crash, and he’s adopted by the king. While we doubt there will be any other similarities, it’s a nice nod, and may possibly allude to the possibility that Bucky could have a growing respect and love for Wakanda in the future.
Okay, so those are the two scenes from the film. How do you feel about these scenes? Let us know your thoughts down below!
