This weekend’s San Diego Comic-Con was abuzz with excitement as 10:10 Games, in collaboration with Funko, Inc. and Universal Products & Experiences, revealed a slew of new content for the highly anticipated action-adventure game Funko Fusion. The event was headlined by the debut of the game’s thrilling story trailer.

The trailer introduced fans to the game’s menacing villain, Eddy, voiced by the legendary Clancy Brown, known for his roles in The Shawshank Redemption, Highlander, and Detroit: Become Human. Eddy is portrayed as a deeply twisted and immensely powerful shapeshifter, set on a path of total domination. He possesses the dark ability to take control of the inhabitants of Funko Fusion’s pop culture-inspired worlds, creating an army of corrupted characters from beloved franchises such as Jurassic World, Back to the Future, The Thing, and Chucky.

Players will fight back by assembling their own team of heroes, each equipped with unique tools for both combat and puzzles. In a surprise appearance, comics legend Robert Kirkman shared insights about the inclusion of Skybound Entertainment’s Invincible and The Walking Dead in the game. Kirkman showcased the Invincible level, featuring playable characters Invincible and Omni-Man, and offered a sneak peek at The Walking Dead’s Rick Grimes and Michonne.

The panel featured prominent figures including 10:10 Games’ CEO and founder Jon Burton and co-founder and Head of Publishing Arthur Parsons; Funko’s VP of Licensing & Business Development Jason Bischoff; Monkeypaw Productions’ Creative Director Ian Cooper, who announced the exciting integration of Jordan Peele’s NOPE into the game; and popular voice actor Kellen Goff, who will reprise his role as Freddy Fazbear from Five Nights at Freddy’s in Funko Fusion.

Fans were also thrilled to learn about a special line of Funko Fusion Funko Pop! figures, which will be available later this summer on Funko.com and at select global retailers. These figures will include codes for exclusive in-game bonus characters and outfits, such as Mecha Freddy and the Slime Pit variant for He-Man, adding to the game’s extensive roster of over 60 characters and their variants.

Release Dates and Pre-Order Information

Funko Fusion is set to launch on September 13, 2024, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, followed by a November 15, 2024 release for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. The game is available for digital pre-order on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam, with physical console editions also available for pre-order at select retailers. Digital pre-orders for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 will begin soon.

Players who purchase the PlayStation 4 digital edition can upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version at a minimal cost. Conversely, those who buy the PlayStation 5 digital edition will receive access to the PlayStation 4 version upon its release.

With its blend of beloved characters, thrilling gameplay, and exclusive collectibles, Funko Fusion is set to be a must-have title for gamers and Funko fans alike this fall.
