MI6 has some trouble keeping secrets.

On MovieWeb.com, actor Ralph Fiennes provided an important hint about his upcoming role in the James Bond spy movie “Skyfall.”

He said, “I’m allowed to say that I’m a government agent.”

Or course, being another government agent wasn’t a big hint on whether he was a good guy or a bad guy in the upcoming movie.

However, an unnamed EON Productions insider told MovieWeb provided even more specific details about his role. In fact, he is replacing an iconic 007 character.

“Ralph Fiennes plays a government agent, which we never get a name on, because he is set to play the new M,” said the unnamed insider.

MovieWeb further wrote, “’Skyfall centers around M (Judi Dench) where her past forces her to leave a head of MI6, and find a new M. The board of MI6 then turns to a government agent (Ralph Fiennes) to take over. M (Dench) is now forced to train the new head of MI6.”

So is this the end for Dame Judi Dench as M and Ralph Fiennes will be her permanent replacement? We’ll have to wait and see when the movie comes to theaters.

Please note this James Bond news has yet to be confirmed at this time.
