Warner Brothers Wants another Crazy Party with ‘Project X’ Sequel

Maybe the first party wasn’t big enough.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, screenwriter Michael Bacall is already working on a treatment for the sequel script for “Project X.”

The film starred a trio of relatively three unknown young actors Thomas Mann, Oliver Cooper and Jonathan Brown as three high school losers who decided to throw the biggest and craziest birthday bash.

Bacall co-wrote the original “Project X’ screenplay with Matt Drake. The THR wrote that the “treatment carries over to the script stage will depend on the producers.” The producers are Todd Phillips and Joel Silver.

It is also unclear if Warner Brothers have options on the three actors. And the original movie was a directorial film debut for Nima Nourizadeh.

“Project X” earned $21 million over this past weekend. Not bad for a film with a bunch of no name actors.

So let’s see if Warner Brothers can keep this party going.
