Agent Coulson Receives His Own ‘The Avengers’ Character Poster

With appearances “Iron Man,” “Iron Man 2,” “Thor” and the upcoming “The Avengers” movie, it’s time to give credit to the S.H.I.E.L.D. agent for his dedicated service.

Marvel Studios released the character poster for loyal S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Phil Coulson with his boss Nick Fury in the background.

Phil Coulson is played by Clark Gregg and Nick Fury is played by Samuel L. Jackson. The poster was revealed by Gregg’s Twitter account.

It is known he will play a role in the upcoming “The Avengers” movie as the S.H.I.E.L.D. agency will support The Avengers against an unknown assailant.

Here is the description of the movie:

Marvel Studios presents “Marvel Avengers Assemble”—the Super Hero team up of a lifetime, featuring iconic Marvel Super Heroes Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow. When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, Director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Spanning the globe, a daring recruitment effort begins.

The film also stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgard and Cobie Smulders.

The comic book movie is written and directed by Joss Whedon.

“The Avengers” will be in theaters on May 4.
