Terrence Howard Play Villain in ‘Dead Man Down’

IM Global and Original Films signed actor Terrance Howard as the villain in the upcoming action thriller “Dead Man Down.”

According to Variety, he will play Alphonse Hoyt, a charming crime lord who seeks a person who is sabotaging his business from the inside and starts to kill off his men as revenge for a death in the family.

Howard will join Colin Ferrell and Noomi Rapace on the project.

Director Niels Arden Oplev (Swedish version of “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”) will helm the project from a script written by J.H. Wyman.

Variety also reported that actor Dominic Cooper is also in talks to join the cast.

“Dead Man Down” will begin principal photography later this month in Philadelphia.
