Christopher Nolan Reiterates That He Has No Plans for Fourth ‘Batman’ Movie

No means no.Director Christopher Nolan is keeping with his word that he will not direct a fourth Batman film in the future.

During the Producer Guild of America’s conference, he insisted the Batman story he envisioned was a trilogy and nothing more.

“I explained the potential of what was exciting for me. There really had not been an origin story about this extraordinary figure in an ordinary world,” he said.

Nolan started the trilogy with “Batman Begins” in 2005 with Liam Neeson and Cillian Murphy as the villains. Then 2008’s sequel “The Dark Knight” broke box office numbers with Heath Ledger and Aaron Eckhart as the villains.

In the final movie of the trilogy, “The Dark Knight Rises” will introduce Tom Hardy as Bane and Anne Hathaway as Catwoman.

Of course, Warner Brothers may have other plans for another Batman movie or a possible reboot. According to reports, there is a “Justice League” movie in the works so we won’t see the last of the Caped Crusader after this summer.

“The Dark Knight Rises” will open on July 20th.
