A Third Film to ‘The Hobbit’ is a Good Possibility

It turns out that director Peter Jackson wasn’t joking to the San Diego Comic-Con crowd about shooting more scenes to make “The Hobbit” series into a trilogy instead of a two-film adaptation.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Brothers Pictures, producer Fran Walsh and writer-producer Philippa Boyens with Jackson are looking into logistics into making a trilogy a reality.

A few hurdles will include securing new actor deals into a third movie and gaining certain rights associated with the property.

First film “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” will be released later this year on December 14. The second film “The Hobbit: There and Back Again” will be released next year on December 13. So a third film will probably be released in December 2014.

So Hobbit fans can rejoice. It looks like Jackson may go there and back again…..and again.
