SDCC 2012: Panel Wrap-Up Commentary for ‘Frankenweenie’

Director Tim Burton returns to his animated roots with a movie based on his short film he created back in the 1980s.

Burton was at San Diego Comic-Con International last week to promote his upcoming animated stop-motion film “Frankenweenie.”

The animation is based on a live-action short film when he was an animator for Disney. The censored short film was later released by Disney on VHS after Burton became famous. An uncensored version made its first appearance with “The Nightmare Before Christmas” DVD.

Latino-Review’s guest correspondent Nancy Tapia was in attendance for Disney’s “Frankenweenie” panel on Thursday.
