EvilDeadJessicaLucasThe evil dead have risen again.

The anticipated remake of “Evil Dead” will be in theaters this Friday and cast members descended to WonderCon 2013 for another major promotional push this past weekend.

The remake of Sam Raimi’s 1981 cult film is under the direction of Fede Alvarez. The new take on “Evil Dead” story is written by Alveraz, Rodo Sayagues and Diablo Cody (“Jennifer’s Body”).

The story is still about five friends at a remote cabin, in which they revived the demons in the woods by reading a verse from the Book of the Dead.

The cast includes Jane Levy, Shiloh Fernandez, Jessica Lucas, Lou Taylor Pucci and Elizabeth Blackmore.

Latino-Review exclusively interviewed actress Lucas at the press line at WonderCon 2013.
