Confirmed: Chris Pine Joins ‘Horrible Bosses 2’

Pine

Confirming last week’s rumors, Chris Pine (Star Trek, Jack Ryan) has joined the cast of “Horrible Bosses 2.”

In his first foray into broad, big budget comedies, Pine will play the son of one of the main characters’ bosses who helps steal their idea for a new invention.

Many wondered what approach the sequel would take since, what are the chances that the three leads would find themselves with three new evil bosses? But it looks like that has been answered- they’ll all team up to take down Pine’s father-son duo.

No one has been cast yet as the father of the aforementioned duo, but I can’t help but wonder what Jack Nicholson has been up to lately.

Jason Bateman, Charlie Day, and Jason Sudeikis will all reprise their roles, with Sean Anders (That’s My Boy) in the director’s chair. Anders, whose writing credits include “Hot Tub Time Machine” and “We’re The Millers,” will also join original “Horrible Bosses” scribes, John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein, on scripting duties.
